June e-Card News
June will mark the fourth full month of service for Cards of Ministry and we have some news on new functionality added to some e-Card galleries AND nineteen new e-Card designs scattered among several of our e-Card galleries!
Our hope is that these additions will streamline sending and sharing e-Cards from some categories and give you more designs to share uplifting and edifying Scripture and inspiring art or photography with your family at home and at church, along with whomever else you may be moved to share God's word.
New Functionality Added!
Thanks to the wonderful people at eCardWidget (the 'engine' behind our eCard galleries) we have added Category functionality to some of the eCard galleries. This feature is a helpful way to filter larger galleries to view just one category of e-Cards. The first card section to get this is Life's Occasions which presently hosts six categories of eCards such as Get Well, Birthday, and Sympathy.
The categories will be displayed as navigation buttons (along with an ALL button to go back to view all cards) appearing above the card gallery. Just select a button to be shown only cards in your chosen category. Here is the present category button set for Life's Occasions:
The Prayer and Praise section of e-Cards will also have Category buttons, and this feature will be rolled into other new or existing eCard pages when it will enhance your user experience.
New e-Card Designs for You
While we have no new e-Card sections this month, there was a good crop of new e-Cards scattered among multiple groups. Here is a peek, listed by the section you will find them in under our Send e-Cards menu.
Special Lord's Prayer Card Set
This eight card set was published around 1909 by Raphael Tuck & Sons, widely considered the world's foremost publisher of post cards. They were famous for outstanding art work and lithography. Our Lord's Prayer set is beautifully embossed and although a bit faded after 115 years, they've been lovingly scanned and touched up to bring back some of that original vibrance for you to share with brothers and sisters at church or with family and others.
This set can be found in the Prayer and Praise e-Card section, and can be easily found using the Lord's Prayer Special Cards category button at the top of the e-Card gallery. Here is a look at the wonderful cover designs!
